Dr. Hu is the fourth-generation inheritor of the Yan School of Shanghai-Style Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and a designated inheritor of the fifth cohort of the National Senior TCM Experts’ Academic Experience Transmission Program. Early in his career, he studied under Professor Wu Jiaoxu, successor of the Xu School of Shanghai-Style Pediatric TCM and former Dean of the School of Basic Medical Sciences at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

He previously served as an Associate Chief Physician at Shuguang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and at the Ninth People’s Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He currently serves as Director of the Academic Department of the Shanghai Yan Dexin TCM Foundation, a member of the Yan Qianlin Distinguished TCM Master Studio, and holds multiple academic positions, including Council Member of the Prescription Classics Specialty Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS).

Dr. Hu has contributed to the compilation or publication of several major TCM works, including Collected Medical Essays, Case Records, and Commentaries of Yan Qianlin, Clinical Records of Yan Dexin, Internal Medicine of the Yan School of Shanghai-Style TCM, and New Interpretations of Formula-Pattern Correspondence in the Treatise on Cold Damage.

Areas of Expertise：

Dr. Hu specializes in the treatment of pediatric conditions such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, indigestion, enuresis, and precocious puberty, as well as pediatric constitution assessment and conditioning.

Expertise also includes traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal paste therapies and acupuncture for pain management.
